Nora & Lora

Privacy

Nora & Lora is a private trip planner for a small group of family and friends. You can only use it if the owner has invited you. This page says what it stores and who else handles it.

What it stores

  • When you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture. The site never sees your Google password.
  • What you and your group add: trips, ideas, screenshots, links, notes, comments, bookings, costs and documents.
  • For security: a record of sign-ins and changes, with the time, IP address and browser.

What it is used for

Only to run the planner for your group. Nothing is sold, and there is no advertising, tracking or analytics.

Who can see it

  • People on a trip see that trip, and no other.
  • The site owner can view every trip and, with the admins they appoint, manages who has access.
  • If a trip's organiser creates a share link, anyone with that link can see the trip's final itinerary until the link is switched off.

Services that handle it for the site

  • Google, to sign you in.
  • Vercel, which runs the site, and Supabase, which holds the database and uploaded files.
  • Anthropic, when research is switched on: the screenshots, links and notes you capture are sent to its Claude service to be read and researched, together with the trip's dates and places. The site does not add your name or email address.
  • An email delivery service, when email notifications are switched on: your email address and the text of the notification.
  • Open map, routing, weather, encyclopedia and exchange-rate services: they receive the place or date being looked up, not who is asking. Map images load straight from the map provider, which sees your IP address as any website does.
  • Instagram, TikTok and YouTube: a post loads only when you choose to show it, and that service then sees your visit as it would on its own site.

Cookies

Only the cookies needed to sign you in and keep you signed in. No advertising or analytics cookies.

Keeping and deleting

Your information is kept while you have access. Ask the owner to remove your access or to delete what you added. A record of access changes is kept afterwards for security.
